“What’ve you got goin’, Cliff?” Demetrius asked.

“Just hangin’ out. You?” said Cliff.

“Trying to keep afloat, that’s all. Just trying to keep my head above water. You know how it is. Another day, another reason to celebrate life. Trying to shed some of that holiday cheer around the midsection, but that’s a lost cause.”

“I hear that. Heard from your relatives lately?” Cliff asked.

“You kidding? They don’t give me the time of day. When I do see them, they just ignore me as if I weren’t even there. Just the other day I was having some fun in the sun. They were nearby. Then they got all paranoid and were in before I got a chance to say anything to them.”

“Don’t look now, but, uh, keep a close eye on that guy above, the one leaning over the rail. Huge guy. Huge shadow. Very threatening.”

“Stranger danger! I’m gone.”

“Me too.”

And so, turtles Cliff and Demetrius submerged into the creek to flee the menacing human on the overhead bridge, 50 feet away.

I’m confused with this one. Are we talking about humans or turtles?

Love it when turtles get together--never can tell what the subject of conversation will be.😆
