“Hon, you ever think about the banana peel?” Derrick asked. “Ever notice the riper it gets the thinner the peel is?”

“No, can’t say as I have. The subject really has no appeal to me.”

“You’re not going there so early in this conversation, are you?”

“Gotta admit, it’s a slippery slope you’re on,” said Gina.

“Yes, you are. I can already see the puns forming in bunches.”

“Oh please don’t split my sides.”

“What, are you not peeling well?” asked Derrick.

“I need to tell you, Derrick, this subject is ripe for abuse.”

“Already used, but we’ll work with it. Just so you don’t monkey with my subjects.”

“To answer your question,” Gina said, “I guess I’ve never considered the thin skin on a banana. Tell me more.”
