While the grandkids tore into their wrapped presents faster than they received them, Hank set his two aside and waited.
He needed nothing so he really wasn’t expecting anything. Whatever someone gave him could wait.
“C’mon, Grandpa Hank. Your turn. Open one,” said one of the six grandkids present. The rest agreed as did the kids and their spouses.
Hank neatly untaped the package to prolong the moment of suspense. He watched as the grandkids squirmed to see what was inside the wrapping.
When he got to the box, he neatly folded the paper and examined the plain cardboard box, about 4x6x2.
“Oh look,” Hank said. “A box. Just what I always wanted.”
“Dad,” his son Jerry said. “You didn’t disappoint. I bet Kenny ten bucks you’d say those exact words when you got to the box.”
“Is that right? It just happens that I needed a box this size.”
“And that’s what I bet Jerry you’d say,” Kenny said.

Like Father Like son. How one person knows the other so well. What a great memory you brought to my mind. Thanks, David.
