“Honey, isn’t people-watching in an airport so much fun?”
“Sure,” Maggie said. “But the problem is we’re in an airport and that’s not what I call fun.”
“Hey, check that out over there. That lady is looking at her tablet, but her glasses are on the top of her head.”
“Umm, Will. She put them there so she doesn’t have to fish them out of a pocket or purse somewhere.”
“Naa, no way. I’m betting she forget they were even there.”
“Oh, all right. Let me go find out.”
Maggie, never bashful about talking to complete strangers, approached the lady and inquired about her glasses.
The lady’s eyes darted back and forth for a second, said something, and both ladies had a good laugh. They chatted for several minutes before the lady handed Maggie a business card.
Maggie returned to Will smiling.
“We were both right, Will. Normally when she’s reading, she wears them on her face like normal. But sometimes, she forgets they’re up there. She’ll go searching the house for a half hour before her husband informs her they’re on her head. Today, though, she just didn’t need them to read her tablet and didn’t want to lose them while traveling.”
“That’s funny.”
“Plus,” Maggie said. “We’re getting together for coffee when we get back. Sounds like a sweet lady. So, yeah, I guess I do like airports.”

One never knows….
Making new friends can be great. I once did that in an airport this last dropped her beautiful scarf I picked it up and ran after her to give it back. Low and behold she was from the same town and lived three blocks from each other. I check on her and her husband once a week.
