Experiment meets reality

Josh was trying the man-bun look for a few weeks to see if he liked it or not. Partly, he wanted to gauge what others thought of it.

In his mid-20s, Josh now had straight black hair that flowed past his shoulders, which would give him a full bun. At 6’3”, he didn’t need to stand out more, but it was merely an experiment.

Josh was ridesharing his way through college. Today he made the mistake of putting his pen through his bun while helping an 80-year-old with her luggage.

“Oh, I didn’t realize you were so tall, young man. Are you one of those Samurai warriors I see on TV? If so, congratulations. I envy you Samurai.”

“Ma’am,” Josh said. “I’m not a Samurai warrior. I’m a college student studying Mechanical Engineering.”

“Oh, ok. Never mind. Forget I said anything.”

And so concluded Josh Farlow’s month long experiment with his man-bun. That month lasted two days.
